During 2016 Leeds Art Gallery will undergo major repairs and restoration to the original Victorian roof of the building that was first opened in 1888. The work will ensure that the necessary improvements are made to the gallery, which will help guarantee the longevity and continued use of this much loved gallery.
Leeds Art Gallery will close its doors for approximately a year, due to re-open by spring 2017, during this time the gallery will maintain an active profile through extensive loans from its art collections and seek to engage audiences through external programmes.
