The Laurence Sterne Trust promotes the writings of the 18th-century novelist and vicar of Coxwold, Laurence Sterne.

Shandy Hall is where he lived and wrote The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman and A Sentimental Journey through France and Italy.The Trust promotes Sterne’s work and international reputation through exhibitions, events and public access to the property and its collection.

Exhibitions: daily (except Saturday) 11.00 - 16.00. Free admission.

Gardens open 1 May to 30 September, (11.00am to 4.30pm) every day except Saturday .

The House is open 1 May to 30 September, every Wednesday & Sunday (2.30pm to 4.30pm) or by appointment.
