Anthony Shaw has been collecting art for over 40 years and his collection is on long term loan to York Museums Trust. Shaw is particularly drawn to work that explores the sculptural and painterly qualities of clay.
The latest display of this collection has been curated by Per Inge Bjørlo.
Per Inge Bjørlo is a Norwegian sculptor, painter, graphic designer and visual artist. He attended the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo and has had his work represented in exhibitions in New York, Tokyo and Berlin.
Bjørlo has re-designed the Anthony Shaw space with an emphasis on textiles and large sculpture, a reference to both his and Shaw’s day jobs.
