The annual Open Exhibition at the Ferens Art Gallery has celebrated the creativity of local amateur and professional artists since 1967.
Each year the Open Exhibition provides an exciting opportunity for amateur and professional artists to display and sell artwork.
This year’s exhibition has been selected by Hurvin Anderson, artist and 2017 Turner Prize nominee; Rosie Millard OBE, journalist, author and chair of Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and Dr Barnaby Wright, curator of 20th century Art at the Courtauld Gallery.
There are a number of prizes available to artists, including a student prize sponsored by BSB Architecture.
Visitors can expect to see a fascinating array of artwork including impressive paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, textiles and jewellery, the majority of this is for sale.
This exhibition is sponsored by the Friends of the Ferens and BSB Architecture.
